Why the lists are short
A list of twenty boards, written by someone who has held three of them, is the standard format for this kind of page. It ranks well and it is useless. Every list here is limited to boards that were bought at retail, used for at least two weeks and measured — so they are short, and they grow at the rate testing actually happens.
The ordering is a published formula over the scoring criteria, computed at build time. It is worth being specific about what that rules out: there is no manual override field in the data model, so no board can be moved up a list, and the affiliate link is attached after the score is calculated rather than before.
